My favourite cheese is Red Leicester. I am uncultured.

And I have a recipe. I call it: Block of cheese. I'm eating a block of cheese right now, well when I go get it out the fridge, which I am about to do.

Cheese?
Is good. Never met one I didn't like.

I really like a sharp cheddar (if you can count that as cheese) and a variety of swiss ones I can neither spell nor pronounce(or sometimes even remember the name). I also enjoy a good blue, asiago, or bree.

This is a peadophile free thread?.

Cheese is good for helping you dream too.... If you find you dont dream often just eat a large ammount of cheese befor going to sleep. You will probably have to experiment with how much cheese gets the best effect for you. But you should be able to figure it out quite quickly.

I don't think there are many of them, since cheese tends to bond very well with cooking utensils.

Make some bread dough, roll it out like a pizza crust or breadsticks, brush with favorite variety of oil/vinegar type dressing (just your basic "italian" works well) and liberally coat in favorite cheeses.

[EDIT] Then bake it.

Thanks for that. Do you think balsamic would taste good?.

There is plenty of recipes really. It doesnt have to be a 'real' cheese based meal, it can just be one that you like to put heaps of cheese in because its soo good....

Heres one:
Cook yourself some pasta. Get a tin of Itilian tomatoes shove them in a pot with one of those small tins of tomato paste.. add alittle salt pepper or herbs to taste. Add cooked mince to the sauce (about 30-40% of the sauce... depending on how you like it). Put in about 4 or 5 handfuls of grated cheese.. your choice of what kind. Then get a baking dish and put a single layer of pasta in the bottom and add a few handfuls of cheese to that. Add the rest of your pasta and pour your sauce over it. Cover with as much cheese as you like and bake untill the cheese on top is how you like it.
I usually use around 1/3 of a block of cheese for this recipe (1kg block that is)

OK, OK.....

A SIMPLE RECIPE INVOLVING CHEESE:

(it's probably come up before, but I find it tasty for a light lunch)

Cheesy Wraps

You will need

At least one tortilla wrap (I use Discovery Wrap'n Roll Original Wraps)
A ball of mozzarella (http://www.cheese.com/Description.asp?Name=Mozzarella)
Another filling of your choice (I use ham or tomato. Or another cheese)
Butter (grease)
A frying pan

N.B: If you do not have mozzarella, any cheese will do. It is preferable to use a soft cheese for this.

Instructions

1. Firstly, take a tortilla wrap and spread it out.
2. Take your ball of soft cheese, and cut off as many slices as you deem necessary. Make these of moderate size.
3. Place these slices on one half of the wrap.
4. Now add something else. This could be small slices of ham, tomato, pickle, or more cheese.
5. Once you are happy with the contents of your wrap, take a frying pan.
6. Grease the frying pan with butter.
7. Fold your wrap over, and place in the frying pan.
8. Fry to satisfaction (normally a couple of minutes), making sure to turn it over, much like a pancake. Just don't try flipping it. ;)
9. Eat it!

The cheese should be semi-melted. Its very tasty, and great for a quick meal. However, I would make a few more, because they're not that filling. And because I like cheese. :p

Just fold it in half - so the half you've covered in cheese and toppings is now covered by the half you haven't.

You're welcome. :p

Sort of. Not entirely, but it does seem to have basic quesadilla aspects, yes.

Just because people are not saying much (and I didnt notice it flicked over to page 2 =(....) here is another recipe.

Make some pizza dough.. Enough for 1 pizza or so. Cook up about 4 maybe 5 sausages (depending on size) and chop them down the middle long ways and then chop them crossways so you get about 4 or 5 pieces from each length.
Roll out your pizza dough and spread some olive oil, Fresh ground or chopped rosmary and alittle rock salt.
Cut up LOTS of cheese into small 1cm cubes... use how ever much you think you would like but I say about 3 or so handfuls.
Pile up the sausages on the base and mix in the cheese cubes.
Pull up the corners of the base and connect them in the middle and seal off all gaps...... putting alittle water on your finger and rubbing it works well. Put some olive oil over the top of it and in the bottom of the tray.
Cook till golden brown

Dont try to follow this recipe exactly just use what you think would be good and what you think the right proportions are.

I know Im shit at writing recipes but I just write them as they come and im lazy so they dont come out too well (the written part that is).

*Was in Paris last weekend. Bought lots of cheese.*

*Doesn't know the name of any of it (used the old point and smile method), doesn't care; all quite remarkable - especially that really soft, smelly one that came wrapped in vine leaves and is even now making a spirited bid to break out of the kitchen.*

Mmmmmm! Cheese! :D

My favorite is fresh, strong Blu Cheese! YUM!

"There are two major types of Blue cheese: soft/white - mild, with a sweet taste of herbs and firm/hard - crusty outside with a sharp, tangy taste and smell . Blue cheese has a veined appearance within a white interior. This cheese ripens from the center to the crust. It is desirable that the veins be dispersed evenly throughout the cheese. Blue cheese continues maturing briefly after being made; therefore, when storing this cheese, any cut surfaces should be covered and a small opening should be left at the rind so the cheese is able to breathe."

Ah liks mah beer, mah cheese 'n mah wimmin strong! :D

I used to be skeptical of blue cheese....... Because of the fact it actually looks like normal mold but mostly because I was stupid I guess. The few times I have had it I loved it though. Great rich strong taste. I had Blue Brie for the first time last night and it was bloody great I think..... But sadly I ate the whole lot in one go, But it was well worth it!.

well, i know nothing about cooking (except for an egg), but you don't put a lump of cheese on your spaghetty. It's the shape that makes it spaghetty cheese.

Funny you should mention cheese: yesterday I experimented with my dad's recipe for potatoes gratin dauphinois (i.e. cheesy garlic potatoes). It's trivially simple to make, and you need:

Ingredients (all rough approximations; vary according to taste)
800g potatoes, diced into cubes of about 1cm.
Lots (150-200g, say) of grated cheese. Cheddar works well.
Chopped/crushed garlic to taste. I use about six cloves, but I've got a bit of a garlic fetish.
150ml natural yogurt (I hate the stuff, normally, but it does wonders in this recipe).
Salt and pepper to taste.

Method
Boil a large pan of salted water. Add potatoes to the water and boil for about five minutes. Drain well and place in a casserole dish.

Add everything else (holding a bit of cheese in reserve).

Stir to coat the potatoes in the cheesy/yogurty goo. It will look absolutely revolting at this stage. Have faith.

Sprinkle the rest of the grated cheese on top, cover the casserole dish and cook in a preheated oven at about 150C for about 40 minutes.

Serve with whatever you like (we had pork chops and green beans last night), or eat it on its own.
