In the style of the penis size *cough* P.C. spec war thread:
What connections do you have to the net, what provider do you use, what do you think of them and what country do you live in?
I'm just curious to see what the trends are in different countries.

Myself: Australia; Dial-up with Froggy and 3G mobile with Hutchison 3 (yes, it counts, fuck you); Froggy are good as far as dial-up connections go, I get about 5KB/s, 6 hour sessions and pretty much totally trouble free connections. 3 is the only 3G provider in Australia, and yes as far as mobile phones go it's pretty good. I get about 25KB/s on 3 content and 20KB/s on external content.

country----->USA
current connection -----> DSL (not sure of speed, not mine)
normal connection -----> 3mb Cable modem Mediacom High Speed

pretty much no problems connecting, just pop the cat5 cable in and the computer does the rest of the work. Cable had to be set up with IP and such, but after the tech got done it was a breeze. Both are easy to set up onto a network, so its fast for all computers. Mediacom isn't the best for email, but I use hotmail for 250mb storage and gmail for 1000mb storage, so I'm good for that.

ISP: Telus Enhanced ADSL @ 2.5 Mbps downstream, 640Kbps upstream
2 Dynamic IP add's

Not the best out there, but not too bad either. :)

UK
ISP: NTL at 2.5Mbps (after optimizations)
static IP.

Could be better, simply because the network is under caonstant strain.
