I've developed a recent taste for Techno and would like to learn how to listen to it online ... without having to pay anyone!

Help??

I tried Usenet many years ago but didn't find it very interesting. Perhaps I'll give it another chance. :)

Thank you! I suspect that a big part of my problem is that I've been relying on that nasty Windows Media Player. The damned thing is really balky. :(

Download ITunes, go to radio. Most of it's under Electronica.

My favourite electronica artist is Moby, a very talented musician. If your into the more metal / rock side of techno, try out The Prodigy - 'Fat of the Land'.

I personally like BT's remix of Sarah McLachlan's "I Love You".
It's somewhere on this page:

New Foxxinnia, THANK YOU for that set. It's AWESOME from what I have heard.

Yes, Epitonic is a great site as well. The problem with finding good (underground) techno MP3 sites is that they are all in French or German.

If you get a chance, check out Shawn Rudiman. He and my man AlphA were big on the Pittsburgh techno scene and even grouped up as TR-Generation (some of those tracks are on my man's site). Also, check out Astral Projection, they are my personal favorite group.

I'll ask my man for some sites that offer free MP3s later (he's busy upstairs playing x-box blowing up robots).
