I have a friend who I absolutely don't want going to a party tonight. I've already pleaded with him, but he really really wants to get completely wasted (It's his ex's b-day)...

It's a bad idea, so what's the best way to stop him? I thought of stealing his cell-phone and car keys while he's at work, but he could easily have someone pick him up... Any ideas?

Why do you want to prevent him from going to the party? Do you think he's going to do something stupid?

Tie him to a chair.

Threaten him with your friendship.

Hit him with a tranquilizer.

Break his legs and have him sent to the hospital. Short of that, nothing comes to mind.

Get him to go in on a sack and you have to wait for the connection. Wait all night. Don't know what happened.

Let him be an idiot and see the consequences of his actions.

let him go to the party, but don't let him drive home drunk. who cares if he gets trashed? it's not the end of the world.

An easier way out is to bribe the friend.

xixixixixixixixxixixix! While you are at it, arrange for a mob of drunken peasants with pitchforks, scythes and burning torches to show up and chase everyone and pillage the house, that should be amusing! He might be more eager for quiet nights at home.

cut the tendons in the back of his knee, same thing as the boken legs, but less messy.

Or go to the party with him and suddenly start doing impressions of the the mentally deficient. Refuse to leave until he does because he's your "Special friend"

Actually, I didn't even think about going to the party with him and watching over him, or at least threatening to do so. I won't have to break his legs after all!

hire him his own personal stripper.

Does he know where the party is?

Does he know well the person hosting it?

Cause you could tell him they changed venues at the last moment if he can't check it easily.

Anyway, why don't you just think of an activity for your friend to do with you, so he doesn't go to the party?
