The couple that tortured children has been caught!

Perhaps we should send them to San Fransisco to show Pelosi and all the idiots that agree with her what real torture is.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is that "Pelosi and all the idiots that agree with her" comment in reference to?

I had to think about that one too, but then I figured that he was managing to stretch this story over the the prisoner abuses (the euthemism(sp) for torture when it's done by us), implying that what these parents did was real torture and what the guards did wasn't. But no electrodes where involved with the kids and the parents. And, to be fair, they where given a lot more time. Seems like a candidate for the Stretchy, but I'm don't feel like looking for a picture of Stretch Armstrong.

Maybe no electrodes were used, but fingernails and toenails were yanked out of children, vs. the Prisioner abuses, were wires were attached to criminals. I guess, it's okay when practised on children, but savage when you put a hood over a criminals head and make him stand on a box.

See, it's savage in both cases.

That's just sick man. I read about this earlier this morning, and was just appalled at what these people did to these children.

Let's just hope justice is served in this case, because these children will be scarred by these events for the rest of their lives.

If I read CNN correctly earlier, cattle prods were used on the children.

These scumbags didnt torture people to death like the american intel services and military did.

Think how many more sick people like that there must be. I say stick them in a cell with some other major scumbags and start placing bets on how long they last. Jeffrey Dahmer was beaten to death in prison, you know. Too good for him.

Would you be happier then if at least one of the children were dead?

Remember, those electrodes were not actually plugged in. The prisoners were mentally tricked, but not actually electrocuted.
That is something much less severe than really pulling out fingernails.
Now I am not saying that either is ok, but there should be levels of criminal guilt. IMHO these two cases are akin to comparing manslaughter to 1st degree murder.

Nono, i was simply replying to the disingenous and probably dishonest veiled assertion that the US inst culpable for the people its military and intel services tortured.

on the other hand, the torture these people inflicted on the kids didn't actually wind up killing anyone. the same cannot be said for the multiple people who died in u.s. custody at the prisons under investigation for practicing torture.

And of course the gulags which are not under investigation, the ones operating under the rules set up by our new attorney general.

The man has not even stepped foot in his office yet and you're already accusing him of torture. Interesting.

a bunch of the dozens of deaths in u.s. military run prison facilities, including abu ghraib, have already been identified as homicides. we haven't even seen all of the pictures there are yet, and we already have a couple with people smiling over the dead body of a prisoner. at least one person died from being beaten. another from being suffocated. etc.

Because he is the one that wrote the memo that excluded the US from Geneva conventions and justified torture, that's why he's saying that. That was before he was given the power of highest ranking law enforcement agent. I think it's a valid point of concern.
