Truly a sad day for boxing fans. It´s official now.

Max Schmeling (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_schmeling) has passed away at the age of 99.

I was always interested in boxing and my gandpa - who was also interested in boxing - told me a lot about his fights, how he stayed up late to listen to the radio-reports on the big fights in NY. Always admired him, I´m sad he´s dead now :(

The sport is dying too thanks to the crooked people involved.

Well, he always said he wanted to become 100 so he could see what direction the boxing sport would take. He nearly succeeded. 99 years.

RIP Max. A true warrior from a time when REAL men fought in the ring.
