It's an outrage how many US states forbid homosexual sex.
If this page is to be believed:
Alabama
Florida
Idaho
Kansas
Louisiana
Michigan
Mississippi
Missouri
North Carolina
South California
Possibly Texas?
Utah
Virginia

Don't try it in India, either.

Well, as far as I can tell, the laws are on the books in the states, but they are not allowed to be enforced. The Supreme Court made the laws null-and-void.

Or in Iran, where even heterosexuals can't have sex until marriage, and I suppose the punishment is rather harsh, knowing the current regime.
Or Saudi Arabia.

Ah.
That explains much.

They still arrest you for it in Virginia, if you do it in a public place, like a government-run rest stop on the highway.

They can arrest you for streaking even in most states, for lewd behavior.

Yeah but they can and probably would do the same thing with straight couples.

It's quite funny that the page says that "none" heterosexual sex exists in Pakistan.

Yes anti-sodomy laws were overturned, but anti gay rights laws are still on the books such as no gay marriage. No matter how you stand on the issue the laws are there.

The "none" is for age of consent, it means they don't have a legal age of consent set.

I think Minnesota overturned ours like 6 -7 years ago I think (kind of depressing it took that long)

now, i know everybody considers Northern Ireland to be a progressive, forward thinking area, and heres the proof:

UK (England, Scotland, Wales) age of consents
Man/Woman: 16
Man/Man: 16
Woman/Woman: 16

UK (Northern Ireland) age of consents
Man/Woman: 17
Man/Man: 17
Woman/Woman: 17

Well if you are going to ignore Lawrence v. Texas which made it legal throughout the entire country, then you can add New York to the list of places where it is illegal. (And Georgia IIRC). This is a poorly researched website. I would ignore it if I were you.

2003, they were overturned, in Lawrence v. Texas. Up until then they had been upheld, see Bowers v. Hardwick (1982 IIRC).

Well isn't that speshul. Regardless of how you feel about homosexuality as a moral choice, isn't advocating execution for something that doesn't harm anyone a little extreme? I mean, it's not like gay people are bayoneting people in the street. Geez.

I think all bigots should be shot as soon as they open their friggin' mouths. And survivors should be burnt alive on the friggin' cross. And how come I didn't know that gay sex was illegal in MY OWN FRIGGIN' STATE? I hate Alabama.

On the other hand, self-immolation certainly shows a dedication to a cause that most homophobes lack.

I think if a few anti gay marriage folks stepped into the street, doused themselves with kerosene and lit themselves on fire they'd certainly show their commitment.
