Does anyone else like this wonderful band?
Q: Who are Múm?
A: Múm are basically an electronic band, but their style is nonetheless very organic and they often play with a chamber orchestra. They have beautiful dreamy female vocals too. Their influences are Sigur Rós and some other stuff.
Q: What Albums do you recommend?
A: Their first album was Yesterday Was Dramatic - Today is OK and is probably the most electronic of their work. Their next, Finally We Are No One, showed that their style was becoming more organic and emotional. Their latest album Summer Make Good is even more organic and uses more orchestral instruments, and the vocals are becoming ever more unusual and whispery. All these albums are great.
Q: What songs do you recommend?
A: In chronological order:
Awake In A Train
Random Summer
Green Grass of Tunnel
Behind Two Hills, A Swimmingpool
Weeping Rock, Rock
The Ghosts You Draw on My Back
but everything by them is good
So get listening to Múm!
