In the study (which has been repeated here at least 3 times, im adding something) that said ~51% of the current generation, comparitively, believe the government has the right to dictate what papers can and cant print, at least 7% of those people also said students should be able to print things in student papers whether or not the faculty agree with it.

Einstein once said "There are only two things that are infinite, the universe and human stupidity and I'm not sure about the former."

oh and addition for all people in alabama and so everyone else can laugh at alabama, we have a law from Rep Allen going in for approval today on the subject of banning all books from government funded buldings that even mention homosexuality to show the young people that illegal acts will not be tolerated

hurray for intolerance!

I've never agreed with you on anything before, but I agree with you on this. That 7% are retards, if this statistic is accurate.

It never ceases to amaze me just how naive and gullible the political right-wing is in America.

It's Alabama... redneck central. It would be doing a world a favour to blow the whole bible belt up, after the sane (i.e. not Christan) people get out.

Maybe he was taking the piss. I fear not. Still, spelling aside, the point he makes is valid. You can't have it both ways when it comes to freedom of the media.

Doubtful given previous posts, but I digress...

I'm not suprised at all. Living "next door" to Alabama, I can honestly say that most of those rednecks have lower IQ's than their pets.
The smart ones move to Florida or Georgia.

Pft, I barely even skimmed what he actually said. I just laughed at the title.

I submit that it is you. If I have nothing to say about your actual post, I say nothing. If I have something to say about the title, I say it.

I skimmed your post because, as you even admitted yourself, most of what you said has already been posted here. And the Einstein quote gets on my nerves now because it's all over the damn place.

Where do you find grounds to call me stupid?

Yeah, he certainly does make a good point. I was just ammused by the spelling error in a post complaining about stupidity. It's an easy mistake to make, but it looks funny.

that without reading the post or "skimming" it you insist on attacking making fun of the title. and no, what i said was was the findings had been posted repeatedly but i was adding something and just referencing it, not basing the post around it.

you insult my intelligence on assumption, i insult yours based on you insulting me on asumption

Your responses are always littered with such amusing errors in spelling and syntax that it's hard to resist poking fun at them.

You told me off for doing that a couple of times though, so this time I actually read what you said and responded with only an afterthought on spelling.

The guy you're telling off now though, well I think he's entitled to at least one pisstake of your posts, since a bunch of other people have been.

Since we're on the subject, you were "ammused" by a spelling error? :D

"Stupidity cannot be cured with money, or through education, or by legislation. Stupidity is not a sin, the victim can't help being stupid. But stupidity is the only universal capital crime; the sentence is death, there is no appeal, and execution is carried out automatically and without pity."

Skimming your post got me this:
- There was a study
- 51% of the current generation are in favor of government censorship of newspapers
- 7% of that 51% believe that "government" here does not refer to "faculty"
- An overused Einstein quote
- Alabama's doing something stupid about homosexuality
- an exclamation

That's about all there was to your post, now that I've gone back and actually read it. I don't need to read every single word to get your points when it's something this obvious - I can skim and do just fine.

I insulted you based on the fact that you claimed I was stupid. I did not once insult you before you "submitted" that you were not the stupid one out of the two of us.

I was not attacking anything - if you took it that way, too bad. I was laughing at the irony of bringing up a point to illustrate someone else's stupidity and misspelling a word in the title. I don't know what you think is funny, but things like that amuse me, and I'll be damned if I'm going to let you say I'm stupid just because of that.
