Yup, thats the way I was told.
I was with a couple of friends golfing, and the group in front of us consisted of a very attractive lady and (as it turned out) her son. We thought her to be an older cousin, perhaps a sitter - not a mother... In any event, we were waiting for them to tee off, sitting on a bench behind the box, and I made a comment (innocently enough I assure you) about her amazing looks...
Well, I suppose I wasn't as quiet as I should have been - she dropped the club - almost folding over in embarassment. She turned around, looked to her son, who wasnt paying attention - then at me and gave me a sharp smile and a wink. She picked up her club, and continued on. She didnt say too much, but every now and then she looked back and smiled.
When we finished up she came to me and started to talk (while, as it turned out, she waited for her husband) explained that the boy in fact was her son, and that she was absolutely flattered by my comment. It had made her day.
Oh, they love it, trust me! ;)
