Someone brought a big tin box of 'em back from the States. They are officially gorgeous.
Houston Harvest Gift Products are also bastards, for not selling them here.
BASTARDS.
Just to give this post a point: anyone else got any addictively gorgeous food products that they wish were sold where they are?

You used to be able to buy them here. Maybe they didn't sell too well

There's a softdrink/soda/pop thing called Cheerwine that I can't get in my region of the US. I love that stuff!!!
I also fell in love with a restaurant called Wagamama when I was in London last year. There aren't any in the States, so I bought the cookbook :)

Where's here? I want to know what country doesn't have Oreos so I can make it a point never to spend any appreciable length of time there.

Britain, although I am sure there are places you can buy them. They are just not widely popular

I can't get Rubicon Lychee litre cartons where I live. I got addicted to it in Africa, and it annoys me greatly that Morrisons don't stock it.

I have a hard time finding my favorite cola in New Jersey. It's called RC cola. That stuff puts coke and pepsi to shame.

true, regular Oreos are good - but Double Stuffs are the best. all the cookie, twice the filling! :D
as a yank, I can't beleive you guys are being deprived of Oreo goodness. they make them in a bunch of different flavors now, different colors for the holidays, they even make fudge covered Oreos.
the latest Oreo craze is to go to your local fair and get a deep fried Oreo on a stick. never tried it myself, seems like a waste of a good Oreo.
maybe we could get the rest of the world to like us if we gave everyone free Oreos? i think that's a brilliant foreign policy! :fluffle:

I'd keep that on the down low ... otherwise, the US may invade the UK just so we can bring you the freedom from the tyrrany that deprives you of Oreos.
From now on, if asked, say "Why, yes, we have plenty of Oreos and we love them!"

I miss Mellow Yellow and Juju Bees. You can't get those on the West Coast. They are strictly East Coast products now. HMPH!

Certain types of Fanta cola that I could only seem to find in Europe. And the Fanta in the US doesn't taste as good as the Fanta in Europe.

It is really different. I've tried both as well. The US fanta is like any other pop.

Try any Stop & Shop in Connecticut. Probably NY, too. :)
And, if you're in New Haven, CT, go see a movie at the York Square. It's an independent movie house that has (you guessed it!) serves only RC fountain sodas.

I got addicted to Flake 99 when I was in the UK, just thin layers of chocolate all wrapped up, usually put in ice cream. Nothing fancy, but I liked it.
