I read this website, where it says that the bible says that around about our time the Antichrist will be born and will be a great leader.

He will make a deal with Israel and Israel will be reformed or something like that.

Then shortly after the world will end!

So, whadya think?

The antichrist is said to bring peace to the Middle East and will be loved by the world. Bush has accomplished neither of those.

Somehow I always pictured Satan a little less 'down home' and a bit more 'big city slicker', not to mention somewhat less 'bumbling'...I always pictured Satan as a 'slick talker' who could easily make it through a press conference without stumbling over his own tongue. Personally I think with the frequency with which President Bush sticks his own foot in his mouth, we would by now have noticed if it were a cloven hoof...

I never thought he'd appear to the world as a baboon.

Doesn't the Bible say, explicitly, that "the end will come like a thief in the night"? We can't predict when the thief will come, so we can't predict the end of the world. Anyone who says otherwise should read their Bible a little closer.

So I suppose that fact makes him the...anti anti-Christ?

No, that would make him a good force.

Nevermind.

There is no such thing as an anti-christ but man-kind with its fear of the unknown (after-life) continually searches for comfort through prior written words by humans just to try and make sense of a concept they can't imagine. In a nutshell, just worry about how you treat yourselves and more importantly others through your actions, words and thoughts. Be good to your fellow man (or woman) and treat all living things with respect. I had been pronounced dead twice and remember the journey only having been sent back for reasons beyond my comprehension. I have no fear of my shell expiring and will welcome it when it comes. Enjoy your time here folks cause it'll all end too soon and don't fret about inconsequential, trivial things that mean less than nothing in the end.

I think people have been saying that so and so is the antichrist for the last 2000 years (or how ever long the concept of an antichrist has existed). So far, despite the affirmation of the faithful of every generation, there has been no antichrist.

However, I did find a web site (http://www.timecube.com/) that is slightly more dependable.

Ah, but that's how the antichrist would work. He'd be all hated for seven years, then pow, everything goes super right, and the whole world is like: "Wow, we can't believe you were so right and we were so wrong, we see the error of our ways now, please become ruler of the world."

And then Bush becomes President of the US and the UN forever and is all: 'BWAHAHAHAHA, fear me foolish mortals. Btw put this security number on your right hand or forehead, whatever. And ignore those jewish dudes with scriptures on their heads and stuff."

That's how I see it going down anyway.

I don't know... I have talked to people who said they voted Bush at the last election mainly for one of two reasons:

1) The Iraq war - you don't change Presidents in the middle of a stream... conservative fear of change, and Republican capitalisation on fear of Terror attacks (like making a speech from the ruins of the WTC).

2) 'Christian' values, like taking freedom: abortion, gay marriage, immigration... conservative fear of 'liberal' politics, and Republican capitalisation on fear of loss of 'Christian' national identity.

Well, to use the biblical words for the anit-christ, there are many. It says there will be many people that will teach the oppisite to what the bible and Christ's message says, and its happened. Just because you don't believe in the religion of others, doesn't make you any more wrong or right then they.

I've found a statement in the bible that I've always liked, To force a man to go against his own faith is to sin yourself. So, to force your ideals on anyone, is sinning, and this was said to all people. So I guess, thats the end of that responce.

As for Bush being an anti-christ, I think most Politicians are Anti-Christs. They didn't get into office to help others, they did it for the pay check. They do it for the personal glory and the personal power. The do it, in some ways, to worship their own pride and arrogence, and so, they worship themselves over others, and thus go counter to putting others first, so they are, by literal and by biblical standards, anti-christs.

antichrist n.

1. An enemy of Christ.

2. Antichrist The epithet of the great antagonist who was expected by the early Church to set himself up against Christ in the last days before the Second Coming.

3. A false Christ.

I don't think Bush fits any of these, he doesn't teach things that are contrary to the teachings of Christ (he doesn't really teach anything, though he makes no secret that he is Christian), he doesn't actively oppose Christ or His teachings, and he doesn't encourage other people to worship him as a replacement for Christ, therefore he's not a false Christ.

so no, he's not an antichrist (notice I said an, there is, and have been, more than one antichrist).

Also, revelation speaks of an antichrist, which john calls Gog, gathering a great army against the people of Israel (in a literal sense, I believe), and Bush is a staunch ally of Israel. so he cannot be the antichrist spoken of in revelation.

Bravo, I don't think I could've put it any better. Don't get me wrong, I didn't intend to slam anyones faith. I believe that everyone should find their own way and if you're happy and satisfied with it more power to you. The point I was trying to get across is that one should not worry about things that are outside of ones realm of control. Focus on continually improving oneself and others and most importantly, keep a positive outlook. Stress kills and worrying about things such as this only adds to it. I found out today that I had lost a friend last saturday at the age of 55. He allowed lifes stresses to get the best of him.

Well...I think you missed the mark on that last point because if most politicians wanted to make huge amounts of money, they wouldn't be working for the government. Most of them have lots of money anyways and now they are giving back to their country. Some of those rich guys do have agendas, but I'm sure that the majority of them are not arrogant. THey should be prideful because apparently a lot of people liked them, otherwise they wouldn't have been elected. Apparently, some other people who voted for them think they've are being put first because they have been put first. HOwever, with senators like Ted Kennedy and John Kerry, I guess I would be wrong...

Is Bush the anti-Christ? No I don't think he is anywhere close to being the antichrist. Personally I think that Arnold Schwarzenegger is the anti christ. Everybody loves him, he's from Europe (which is where many Bible scholars think the anti christ will come from), and if they pass the amendment allowing him to run for President he could be our next president

If he denies his Austrian citizenship first and then becomes president through some funky amendment, then I wouldn't say so...The dual citizenship has me thinking though...
I still would put Ted Kennedy and John Kerry higher on my list than him, although Kerry is pro-anything and ant-nothing, so I'm not sure how you could pin him down.

The freaky thing is that since you don't know where he stands on anything or what he's been doing as senator (besides nothing) you really couldn't be able to tell if he was the anti-christ without the botox. That's what put him on my list of possibles...

With as much as it costs to run for an office of that magnitude (or any federal office for that matter), very few people have the money to pay for it all out of their own pockets. Surely one can start by by running a local office or even a state office and focus on the benefits of his local constituancy but when it's on a federal level the the truly needy masses take a back seat to the big money lobbyists. They are what pay the huge bills of getting elected and thus reap the biggest benefits. Look at the pharmaceutical industry and the A.B.A. (the American Bar Association), you'll never find those two organizations suffer from legislation. Probably has something to do with them being top contributors.

As being a Satanist, I know a few things about the Anti-Christ.

Is Bush the Anti-Christ? Hell, no!

1.I wouldn't be a Satanist if Bush was the Anti-Chirst. Don't get me wrong, I support Bush. I just don't think he would be a good leader to lead the rebellion aganist Christ.

2.We already have an Anti-Chirst living on Earth. It's the Black Pope of the Satanic Church. Pope John already said the Anti-Christ is the one who is the founder of the first CoS=Church of Satan.

3.The four horsemen of the Apocalypse haven't attacked earth yet. Some could say that two of the horsemen are already among us, but not all four.

And besides, Bush wouldn't have a chance aganist Christ. This is just the same bullsh*t that happened when Ronald Reagan was in office. Crazy lunatics thought Reagan was the Anti-Chirst because each part of his name had six letters, and 6+6+6=666, but nothing happened. The same thing is going to happen with Bush. Nothing.

Death is nothing more than a stepping stone to the next reality. It's our eternal soul shedding its mortal shell and moving on. Those who have been closest to you in this existance and have transitioned before you will be waiting.... I guarentee it. Nothing to fear, we've done it before and will do it again.
