I know only one person who hates them, and he is excused for being alergic to dairy products (Choclate and cream in this case)

Are these a british thing in any way related to oreos? If so anyone who hates them should be slain.

The biscuit tastes strange/has a weird texture.

Yes, I'm picky about my biscuits.

If I weren't a devotee [and the founding member] of the Church of Lemon Meringue, you'd get an "AMEN" to that.

Damn, and here I thought we'd be debating the finess of Woodford Reserve's extra aged stock. :(

Oh man, they're a fine biscuit, but not for dunking in tea. They leave this revolting biscuity mess at the bottom of the cup...

Yeah, I was hoping I'd find some other comrade who enjoyed a good snort of Woodford Reserve as much as I do. I understand the dissapointment. :(

when you say "biscuit" are you talking about cookies?

is this "bourbon" thing like a reversed oreo (oreos of course have vanilla cream stuffed between two chocolate cookie discs)?

hehe

what are those rod-shaped hollow cookie tubes filled with chocolate called?

these are maybe, in profile, about 6 inches long and half an inch wide... crunchy and stuffed with fudge/chocolate.

I think bourbons did a poor job of ruling France.

In England I love the jaffa cakes (mmm orange jelly).

In Aus I love butternut snaps & ANZAC buiscuits.

Bourbons are all right- I'll eat them if there are no

a) Jaffa cakes
b) Custard creams
c) normal (plain!) chocolate digestives
d) Rich teas

available. They're not great, however; as a corruption of custard creams, the real thing is better. Custard creams were fine without having a chocolate variant, and the chocolate is too sweet for my liking.
