this is a thread to end all threads. i would like to hear all of the threads we , as mere mortals, can only dream of here on the great nation states forum. because, honestly, all the american this, bush that, abortion this, religion that stuff is KILLING ME. same posters, same opinions. how many times can we debate the sam thing?? i am not giving anyone any shit at all, so dont get all offended. lets all just take a break, and immerse ourselves in a bit of unreality.

i understand..i "ghost" these forums a lot, rather than posting, because people are so vehement and self-righteous in their opinions its useless to argue. but i do find some threads interesting.

I would love a thread in which dozens of people discuss the meaning of T.S. Eliot's The Wasteland that goes on for as many pages as the idiotic thread about Gays being a negative influence.

Occidio, honestly, you'll learn to accept it. I've seen many a newbie poster go through this phase. No matter how hard you try, though, people are going to continue to incessantly argue about politics/religion. Your best bet is to just create a good, non-political/religious thread, and keep it going. Your tattoo thread is doing quite nicely. You should be proud that it continues on against the neverending onslaught of political/religious threads.

To me, it's people talking about lifestyles, idealogies, and culture. I want to travel and see the world. :p

that would make an awesome thread... assuming people post. i know i would, i have always wanted to travel. all i know is my tiny little corner of the world, i know know squat about any other place.

I would love to see a thread about the effects of cabbage on the tite of a nursing mother, and why it has both negitive and positive effects....ok that was rather random from my head, not really interested in that, I've already been subject to doctors talking about it....

how about a thread about the sword structure and differnt cultures that have used swords and how and what they built them out of. Talking about the oldest folded steel style from the Norse to the Celts use of Steel, and even the oriental massive folding styles. I've found the weapons a culture uses shows a lot about them, though nowadays everybody uses the same things, so its lost its edge and interest.

Melee has many different meanings, though the one thats most popular is hand-to-hand combat, or confused hand-to-hand combat. I don't see tank falling into either one of the two meanings though. I also don't see guns being hand to hand, because they are ranged weapons.

Ideal Fantasy Character depends on what gaming system you were using. In true AD&D I would go with a human multiclass, Ranger/Fighter. That way you get the muliple weapon ability and then top it off with weapon specialization to get some massive number of attacks, as well as a good to hit chance for your preferred enemy. That and tracking is always nice to have.

I try to hit both ends of the spectrum, both technical guy and untechnical guy. Though most people just call me a smart ass. To that I always say, better a smart ass then a dumbass. :p

Some of my favorites racial slurs for white people:

Flat-Back - Term refers primarily to white women who unlike women of other races have flat butts and no shape.

Goober - Black racists in NYC area use it to refer to Whites. Interestingly, the goober peanut was one of the food products imported from Africa for the slaves to eat.

I assume you're white. I make this assumption because the majority of these slurs you would like to see wouldn't be directed at you, so you probably don't consider them to be anything more than nebulously offensive. I am not white, and to be frank, I am quite happy that when racial slurs are used, the Mods step in. It is a chilling thing being told that someone would gladly spit in your children's faces because they are racial 'mutts'.
