Canadians, what province do you live in?

Simple question simple answer. Sadly, I live in Saskatchewan but I will return to Alberta with a vengance in about 3 years. As for the poll, I'm thinking no one on NS lives in the Yukon, Nunavut or the North West Territories but I might be wrong. Born in Alberta, lives in Sask.

I was born in Edmonton but lived in Calgary. And Edmonton could kick Calgary's sorry ass to the moon but enough of that. Alberta is my favourite province and I was angry as hell when I found out I was moving. When I said vegence, I was talking about people, no the place itself.

Ya, I haven't been there myself for a year or so and given I'm not into heavy metal, your asking the wrong guy :). And I think there are more skinheads around Red Deer (which is between Calgary and Edmonton if you didn't already know). And it gets f*cking cold in Edmoton in the winter but it's that way all across western canada, so we get used to it.

Calgary is alright but honestly, the Stamps suck shit. They keep firing the head coach and hiring someone new, thinkings it will fix that fact the team sucks. I lived in Calgary for 12 years compared to 1 for Edmonton and I'd still take Edmonton over Calgary any day.

Nothing's liberal enough for me, I guess.

'Cept maybe communism. I wouldn't vote for a communist party :p

But you gotta admit the Liberal party doesn't have much liberal left in it anymore. It's pretty much become a slightly-less-conservative-than-Conservatives party. Now if we were run by the NDP, I suppose I wouldn't even be thinking about moving anywhere else, but unfortunately for me, NDP doesn't weight very heavily on the federal scene, since it can't manage to get a single candidate elected in Québec.

Not sure if you really care, but most of them really hate being called "Eskimo". They view it as derogatory, from what I've heard, because it means something like "Raw meat eaters" or something. Inuit is widely preferred to it.

I assumed it was more akin to New Hampshire's sole reason for existence. Cheap place to buy goods from more populous and generally more expensive places (ie. everyone in Massachusetts buys tax-free goods in NH). Everyone in northern US takes cheap vacations in canada due to exchange rate.

Though this is changing now as the dollar plummets.

Uhh... yes? Aren't they more ceremonial now, though? The RCMP stands for Royal Canadian Mounted Police, but I think that's more just a title... if you mean the actual little red-clad, awesome hatted horseback riders, as I said, I think they're still ceremonially present.

Buuut... what do I know? I could be wrong. I do know that when a police officer dies, there are fully suited mounties at their funeral ceremonies. At least there are a little north of here.

I was born in Romania but I've been living in Ontario, Canada. I don't understand why some Quebecois want to separate, I mean, the French-Canadians created Canada. They were the first to use the name Canada for this land, the first to call themselves Canadians and the creators of alot of Canadian culture. If anything, the Quebecois would be campaigning for a different head of state other than a British Queen, instead of trying to separate.

BtW, I like the Liberals and they have a chance to become more liberal. The party is separated into two factions, one is fiscally liberal as well as socially liberal like Chretien, Trudeau or Pearson and the other is fiscally conservative and socially liberal like Paul Martin. All that needs to happen is for the fully liberal faction to take back the party. I would say Paul Martin is doing an okay job but it could be much, much better.
