Emo = :headbang:
I could say a lot more on the subject, but I don't think you'd like any of it.

Isn't that an oxymoron?

So is "None; they're all crap" a valid answer?

I figured I'd get a lot of this...emo can be annoying after a while, but I still do like it. Save new wave emo (such as Dashboard Confessional or Taking Back Sunday) that is just STUPID emo, and I hate it and its followers bitterly!

that would work

"i dont have a favourite emo band" would also be a good reply

ORTHODOX emo; its true and "hard core" emo, such as Rites of Spring and any band that featured Ian Macay. Not the crappy new wave emo of today. Anything before 1995 is emocore, save Thursday which gets special status, though because they are going mainstream, soon they'll be rejected. As I have said, I like emocore, its emo people that bug me.

Is it the same style of singing? Because that's what really bugs me about emo.

What emo bands have you listened to? If you have never heard an emocore band, than, yes the singing style is different from stupid new wave emo.

It isn't my fault that most mainstream bands end up selling out. I've been let down to many times to expect any different.

The one or two emo bands I've ever heard turned me off from the whole damn genre x_x
