NS appears to have quite the extensive RP community, so I thought I'd post a link to another that might interest them.
It's an FFRP sci-fi forum based loosly upon the Space Empires series of computer games by Malfador Machinations. You take the role of an intersteller empire, a single system, planet or ship. Virtually what ever you choose. We're coming out of a restart so you don't have to worry about an uber-large empire coming in and obliterating you, yet.

Shareware versions of the games are available here (http://www.malfador.com). I'd suggest checking out at least SE3. It's small and will give you an idea of how the universe is set up.
