Allow me to [re]introduce myself

Hey. My name is Caroline aka C-bass. I'm a 14-year-old freshman living in Austin, Texas, the most liberal city in the south/southwest baby!!

My old nation was C-bass, but I've decided to begin anew because it was deleted. My interests are poker and blackjack, classic rock, Spanish/Mexico, politics, dirt biking, pool, stand-up comedy, acting, guitar (just started playing), dachshunds, television (yes, I watch a lot, but my excuse is this: as an actor I must absorb all the talent I can! hehe ;) ), and as is the case with every other hetero teenage girl, teenage boys!

Introduce yourself to me or say hey if you remember me as C-bass.

I don't have any recent pictures of myself on my comp because my camera hasn't been working, but here's one from spring of last year (2004) that really brings out my personality.

http://pic15.picturetrail.com/VOL607/2437494/4817366/60996707.jpg
and here's one from over summer 2004 in Colorado.

http://pic15.picturetrail.com/VOL607/2437494/4817366/61323011.jpg

and Thanksgiving 2003.

Lovely to meet you, Caroline!

I'm Kate - 23, graduated college over a year-and-a-half ago (gasp!), and currently applying to grad school while I work as a research assistant.

I love playing poker (particularly Texas Hold 'Em), and I'm also into rock and politics. I waste away if I'm not doing any artwork (I love doing b&w photography and drawing), and I'm on my way to being a social psychologist.

My picture is on the pic thread if you're curious, but I gather you're more interested in seeing guys your age. ;)

I have a fair amount of experience in the world, so if you ever have questions about guys, love, school, friends, whatev - I'd be happy to help. :)

Okay, I'm not really insane. Just quarky.

Great thread, btw - such a simple concept, but I'm learning stuff about people that I didn't know before!

Whoa - me too... love reading classics (Jane Austen is my fave, but I like lots of others), I was a philosophy major and now I'm studying social psychology as applied to politics & marketing, and I'm into categorizing personalities too. I'm an INTJ.

Try Please Understand Me II by David Keirsey. It's a lot of fun.

Or... if you're really nice to me and you're interested in doing so, I could give you the questions (there are 70 questions - pick A or B for each) and score them, if you want.

You HAVE to download it! Since I did, my game has improved tremendously. It's the best poker program out there -- play money, real money, ring tables, tournaments. You'll love it. www.pokerstars.com. Two WSOP champs started out playing there!

Thank you. I just wanted to let people know I'm back.

The one I've got is a little different in its questions, but pretty much the same thing...

so, CBass, I'd be more than happy to send you the version I have (or at least the interpretation of your personality once you get what you are from that other thing), but if what Vangaardia sent you works, cool.

I've not yet read Ayn Rand - but I will at some point. People either love her (like some of my friends) or hate her (like many of my philosophy professors)... so I'm intrigued!

I tend to get intimidated by writing before I do it, but once I start, I really love the process of organizing my thoughts and communicating them to others.

I'm agnostic, so you probably don't know me from church, lol. I stand out so if we've ever crossed paths, you would have noticed me. I don't even know what school's mascot is the trojan . I don't want to say where I go, but it's not in AISD.

Well for males that would be the ESTJ which the INFP (me) is the shadow type of which means many ESTJ's believe that INFP's are "evil incarnate" because our ideals are so different.

For females I do not want you to quote me but I am almost positive it is ESFJ but I could be wrong. Gandhi was an INFP and many males do not consider him even realistic. Especially to warmonger types. Most INFP's are very peaceful and HATE confrontation.

The way I see it, because NationStates attracts people who like politics, it will of course attract idealists. Right-wingers are idealists in wanting to preserve "tradition." Liberals are idealists when it comes to social programs. I certainly know I am.

Well, I was thinking it would attract Ns (abstract people) in general, because the whole game is quite abstract.

Being a Rational, though, I may play mine differently than an Idealist - I try to juggle the outcomes of civil rights, economy, political freedoms, tax rates, and crime rates.

But anyway, maybe we should post the test link and a poll at some point? See what happens?

I might do it later (although I certainly wouldn't mind if anyone else beats me to it) - I actually need to start cleaning up around here, it's afternoon and a whole bunch of my friends are coming over for dinner!!!
