After reading through the first page of this thread, I have come to the conclusion that only exhibitionists will expose themselves in public.

Most societies have a taboo on public nudity. It is in only in certain situations that this behavior is winked at.

Adam and Eve went about the Garden of Eden clothed in light; only after they had sinned by eating the Forbidden Fruit, did they realize that they were naked. :eek:

It is more or less based on the intense self-consciousness that has erupted in modern day society. Through marketing and profitable religion there is a massive feeling of being inferior and needing desperately to improve oneself.

I am actually pretty self-confident, I just get a little skittish when I feel like I am being analyzed. For example, I am normally very talkative and sociable, but when I speak in front of a great deal of people I tense up.

I think that if everyone was naked all the time, there would be less to be embarrased about. And nerds with huge penises wouldn't be so made fun of.
