Ok I know this maybe a bit of a touchy subject but I want to know how good people think it is. This is mainly aimed at people who have masturbated/reached an orgasm prior to losing their virginity.

I've only had two lovers. With the first, to whom I lost my virginity (well, obviously), sex was completely shite. I remember looking at the ceiling as he got on with things wishing I had a good book!!! I couldn't remotely see what the fuss was about, and thought masturbation was SO much better.

However, after meeting my current boyfriend, not only is sex really excellent, but I've also realised I didn't really care about the first bloke in the way that I thought I did. I do think love makes a difference to sex - I suppose in part because communication is better.

Anyhow, I voted that sex is definitely better than I thought - masturbation was good, but not mind-blowing; sex with the first bloke was woeful; but now sex surpasses both to a huge extent!

I'll laugh if he happens to browse the forums and find this one...
I voted, but really, it's hard to compare sex and masturbation. They're both fun for different reasons. There's no way to make masturbation feel exactly like sex because you always know what you're going to do to yourself and with sex, there's someone else involved. That spices things up a lot, since another person can be unpredictable. :D

I lost my virginity with my current boyfriend and at first sex was a little awkward, but it's gotten much better with a little practice ;) I'd say that as of now, sex is better than masturbation. :fluffle:

the first time i had sex was much better then i expected, since everybody was telling me that the first time really really hurts for a girl, and it's no fun, and you bleed all over. turns out they were full of crap, it was fun and didn't hurt in the slightest. now that i am older, i find out from my female friends that most of them experieced little or no pain their first time. i tend to think that the myth of the lousy first time is promoted for one of two reasons: to scare girls away from having sex, or to lower the standards for guys...after all, if the girl is taught that her first time is supposed to be really bad, then the guy doesn't have to worry about being lousy in bed because she will be expecting it to be rotten sex.
