Security
Are we a bit uptight about security, or are we right to apply more to public places?
It was only since the Twin Tower bombings that we finaly realised that more security is needed.
Are we just parranoied?
The media is always going on about more security, i think it's just the americans. Why are they so parranoied..or am i just a stupid nut-job? Are we all paranoied that every other person is a terrorist???

Well, in New York, a hobo with a Zippo started a fire that shut down the C train for around 6 months.
A hobo with a Zippo.

You should watch the movie "Bowling for Columbine". It explores that very issue.

i beleive that we could be a little paranoid. but think about the twin towers things. didn't you watch your back a lot? even when in the car? you were worried about another attack, so to ease everyone's fright, we beefed up security. we might not need it now, but back then we did.

This is a function of technological vulnerability, not a lack of security. The more complex the technology, and the more a society relies on technology, the more vulnerable it becomes to acts of sabotage, terrorism and just plain accidents.
