after finding out where everyone got their nation state name from, I want to know why you picked the flag you did. There are so many different ones.

My flag is a picture of Lenin raising a shotglass in a toast with the caption "Shots for the masses"

It came from an issue of Modern Drunkard magazine.

Well I chose my national flag (the flag of my RL nation), I just didn't find time to make a new flag but I will do so soon.

I drew my flag myself. Previously I used the British flag, as it is my true country of origin. I used it because I thought it looked cool.

My nation state name was just a bunch of random letters with vowels inserted into it..

The flag is from Diablo II: Lord Of Destruction (the expansion set), and its the skill icon for Feral Rage. I chose it.. for no reason whatsoever.

My flag for Superpower07: The UN logo (however now I realized I can't stand the UN)

My flag for my "rebel" nation Super-power: The AEUG logo (a freeodm fighting group from Zeta Gundam)

I choosed a nuclear explosion as my flag, since it is usually one of my forum avatars. (and it adds to the weirdness of my nation, too)

Eutrusca is a variant of the name for a thriving civlization which existed in what is now Tuscany in Northern Italy. I created my own flag.

My flag is a cool picture of Crustacian Earth. Got it from some globe site.

My flag symbol comes from Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri - it's the symbol of the "Eudaimonia" research breakthrough and (by extension) the Eudaimonia social engineering choice.

And because I kinda like the Eudaimonia philosophy (as impractical as it may be), I decided to let my flag symbolise that.

My flag is boring, it's just the Albanian flag.
Because I'm too lazy to make my own.

I started with the Polish flag, then I monkeyed around a little with the laurels off the POW * MIA flag and matched their font.

mine is a picture of my forearm tattoo. it was the only thing i could stick in there at a moments thought. i am changing it soon, though, whenever i get around to it

Mine is a section of a design I liked, still trying to cut a paste another image on it, but none of my attempts have worked so far

In response to the actual thread question; I have a large Texas flag at the moment.

My flag is dedicated to my very only and favorite PC game (real time strategie): Stronghold. It consist of three spearmen, the most fragile and expendable soldiers in the game. My countrie is devoted to give these men haven and shelter. :mp5: :sniper: :gundge:

It's a design using my given name to give the appearance of a stage with curtains pulled back.

my flag has a black background. It is roughly divided in thirds lengthwise. The top third: Jolly Roger, Baseball, Jolly Roger. The middle third: Baseball, Jolly Roger, Baseball. The Bottom Third: Smoltzania, in a cool font. Baseballs and jolly rogers are in white, smoltzania in red.

Since I didn’t post on the name thread, I’ll quickly explain that. My name is a conjunction of “sophia” (“wisdom” in Greek) and “pro” (implying progress). So… progressive wisdom.

I designed my flag with a sun, for enlightenment, and an olive tree, representing peace and Athena, the goddess of wisdom.

I made the name up about 5 years ago for a book I never finished writing and started to use it when I got bored of stealing from Niven (used to be Chuut Ritt). SO, I'm now Minalkra wherever I go.

My flag . . . I've been looking into heraldry for a bit now and, even though my nation will have nothing to do with such fluff, I decided I liked the look of one flag I was doddling around with and kept it. I may even go into geneological studies to see if I can register it for my family one day, when I have an extra $3000 dollars or so to blow.

I had 32 logos, with sorm crows zombies, draculas, dogs, eagles, bulls, ants, pacif crests with zebras, and many more however I decided to choose the one with the logo of a burning scull because many on line friends told me that it looked best on my desktop, when they downloaded the files.

My fag has a ornge backround with a scull, and flames, and in the backround of the scull is a larger scull in darker ornge colors with many showdows. it is the perfect flag for a evil doeing dictator of the armies of evil darkness like me. I have used this flag ever since i had the nation for 3 days, now the nation is 1yr 44days 13hr and 27min 33sec old, now it is 36seconds and counting up from the time of this post

My nation's flag is an unauthorised varient of the 1992 Bosnia-Hercegovina flag, it's also a coat of arms in the Bosnian part of my family. So it was a natural choice. Especially since I think the new flag SUX!

My flag is a picture of a rhino...and I edited it paint to say Rhyno instead of rhino...'s'not hard...

As for RhynoD...long story short, my RL name is similar to rhino and a kid called me Rhyno (or ryno or rhino or whatever) and I liked it so I kept it and added my last initial.

My flag was found in a google search of 'Sarcodina.' Sarcodina (as the NS thread regarding names will attest) is a phylum in the 6 kingdom organism classification system (or whatever its called)...under the kingdom protista. I was taking biology at the time I decided...

My running joke is my national animal, the amoeba (a species of the Sarcodinan phylum)...it is in fact not an animal at all...but a protist... ;)

My flag is just a picture of a character in a little video game I made a few years ago. The nation is named after him as well.

I made mine myself with Photodraw, just put text with pictures and drew stuff. It's more an emblem than a flag but I though I captured that military look I wanted for it.

Mine used to be the Rocky Horror lips, but I changed it a couple of days ago to one I made on paint :cool: haha. It's divided into 4 and it's got my four favourite things on it: rainbows, penguins, music, and alcohol:)

I found mine on a website of different peace signs. It says love with a peace sign in the o on a tie-dyed background. I chose it because the two things i believe in most are peace and love, and my friends always call me a hippie...lol.

My flag ties into my motto very well (As any StarCraft player could attest to). I have a very, VERY strong policy in my nation about depriving my citizens' rights, especially through military and police forces.

Mine's the Platonic solid the Octahedron, representing the great knowledge we encourage upon our people. The colours I just thought looked cool together.
