No kids, there is no such thing as lesbians. Lesbians are not real unless your parents feel like telling you about them. When you are thirty and you meet one, it will be fine if you are shocked into violence. Because they don't exist.

Whoo, once again, PBS does us a great justice! Hooray for intolerance!
Yeah, I don't exist! Not at all! Oh, wait...
EDIT:
YOu know what's fucking creepy?
RIght as I clicked the link, the news reporter started talking about that on my local news!
Luckily, here in VT, they say they'll air the episode.

What's wrong with learning about lesbianism the old fashioned way? Through Porn!

The nation's new education secretary denounced PBS on Tuesday for spending public money on a cartoon with lesbian characters,
Funniest. Headline. Ever. It was snipped short because it stopped being so funny.
I read the article, and it seemed PBS was the ones being tolerant, and the education secretary being intolerant...
The education secretary being intolerant.... that just doesn't seem right.

The whole concept of educating kids via television is flawed and shows lack of care for children. Leaving out a specific episode does not mean that the children never learn about homosexuality. But maybe it can learn about it in a more appropriate form, where the teacher or parent can answer any question the child has instead of just feeding it with facts in an oneway communication channel moderated by an animated bunny.

Education Secretary Margaret Spellings is an intolerant fool.
i could understand people complaining about shows that depict homosexuality in a favorable manner (that is, i can understand why idiot homophobes wouldn't want their kids getting the notion that adults get to choose whom to love) but what is accomplished by simply trying to keep your kids from knowing homosexuals exist? they're going to find out eventually, so wouldn't it be better if they learn about it while still living with Mommy and Daddy, so Mommy and Daddy can indoctrinate them into propper homophobic attitudes? if they don't learn about homosexuality before they move out, then how can you possibly teach them to hate gays as much as any good little boy or girl should?
