Socks are OK, but they drive me crazy after a long day...few things are more liberating than removing your shoes and socks after a long day of wearing them.
That said, I usually use a blanket or comfy pair of slippers if I need to keep my feet warm and don't feel like wearing shoes. Regular socks don't cut it.

My opinion still holds. Socks are the tool of the devil, used to ensnare our feet in some evil plot. We must set our feet free of these trappings.
