The last Bob Dylan album I bought was "Blood on the Tracks" back when LPs were popular. Great album, great songs, Bob was even okay except for the harp. This last birthday, one of my daughters gets a CD for me called "Dylan and the Dead". The songs are okay, the Dead are always great, but poor Bob was suffering from the Marlon Brando mumbles. The kind where in the Godfather, you can't understand a word he says.
When did Dylan lose his ability to pronounce words?

When did Dylan lose his ability to pronounce words?
When he stopped drinking. Actually, he started doing that mumbling stuff when his record contractors started to sell him out. He went through a few rough years there when his old ideals were crashing in all around him and he lashed out by putting out a couple of high-pitched mumbly albums ... but they sold anyway ... because, well, he's Bob Dylan!
Blood On the Tracks and Highway 61 Revisited are his best, although Time Out of Mind is pretty damn good stuff.
I met him once at a bar in Memphis. I hugged him.

Cool.
Only celebrity musician I ever met was Charlie Daniels. I was sitting next to him at a bar in Pensacola, FL, of all places. Didn't even know who it was until after he left.
