Again I was reading the paper and came across a startling article. It seems that the 19 blue states that voted for Crazy Kerry also account for 95% of all cases of the tick borne Lyme disease. The New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/2005/01/25/health/25patt.html) (registration required) reports:

The 19 "blue states"--those won by Senator John Kerry--account for 95 percent of the cases of Lyme disease reported in 2002, they wrote. The disease, caused by bacteria that are carried by deer ticks, is concentrated in the Northeast and Midwest.

Red states are prone to another illness, informally called "southern tick-associated rash illness" or Stari, which is caused by the bite of the Lone Star tick.

Here's the important part:

"Lyme disease is spreading faster than Stari," Robert Nadelman, one of the study's authors, says, "We do not believe . . . that tick-borne diseases are likely to be a major factor in the 2008 presidential election."

Really? I always thought it was depression. Give someone enough Prozac, and they won't care about the poor.

I wish more people would take a philosophy course and learn these logical fallacies

Put your children on Prozac and they'll eventually not give a shit about their own mother!

Just because someone posts a "why did the chicken cross the road" joke, it doesn't mean i have to laugh.

My feelings are really hurt. I put ten or fifteen minutes a day into feckless exercises.

I didn't ask for laughter, just not chapter and verse on logic.

Hell, I don't care if anyone responds to it. Maybe a few reads.
