This (http://dookaloosy.dyndns.org/wail_-_thoughts_on_a_book_-_Asimov1.htm) is a short story by Isaac Asimov. It presents an idea about the nature of the universe - not in a serious way, but it's interesting nonetheless. At any rate, I think it's a great story and worth five minutes of your time.
