Creationist Museum in Kentucky.

I was reading about this in the paper on Saturday and about some of the exhibits it will have. One is about how AIDs are homosexuals fault and another one says that you are wilfully ignorant if you deny creation literally happened. I thought, and you are stupid if you think it did. Overall, it has exhibits with Adam and Eve being chased by dinosaurs and a Noah's Ark scene with people drowning around the boat. Then I read the price tag, $25 million US and thought "There must be a better way to spend that money then to make a museum blaming evry group you don't like for the worlds problems". This place sounds like it reeks of intollerance, although I'd see it first before I will make that strong of a judgement (outside of my mind anyway). What do you think?

wow we creationists need to get it together, we are already considered intollerant fools, that musuem just makes me look worse. I would consider brutally killing / tearing down in debate the owners of that place, but I am in alaska right now.

ugh.

can we take these people and put them on a rocket ship and get them the hell off this planet? i don't like lving next door to people who are so incredibly stupid.

(this is more in refrence to the blaming homosexuals for aids and the willfully ignorant comment than anything, i don't care what people believe, it's when they act like idiots that bothers me)

Have you ever heard of Ken Ham? He's to blame for this!

I was gonna say, I always thought you were a she, but I didn't say anything for fear of being completely wrong, as usual.

Take the tour (http://www.answersingenesis.org/museum/walkthrough/)
I haven't started yet, but I'm sure we'll find this pretty entertaining.

HAHAHAHA I'm taking the tour right now and I grin at every slide. And for scientific evidence, they quote the Bible. Now I'm a Christian but the Bible isn't a science text book. It's a religious book and should not be used to prove the beginning of the earth scientifically.

Overall, it has exhibits with Adam and Eve being chased by dinosaursDoes it have pictures of the whole Adam and Eve familial incest thing? That might be worth the entrance fee.

People complaining about intolerance, then calling Christians fools.
I LOVE IT!

But I agree, whoever created this museum is a fool. And the image of Adam and Eve being chased by dinosaurs got a laugh.

Not calling Christians fools. Calling people who believe in something which has huge amounts of evidence against it, like "AIDS is a gay disease," foolish however - makes perfect sense.

They actually have some clippings from the often left-out passage in Genesis that says, "Midway through the 3rd day, God stopped and trimmed his beard."

I think this gave me a chuckle:

"take a seat on the patio and breathe the fresh air of God's creation."

They left out the bit about pollution from 100 years of the combustion engine, general rank from nearby paper mills, and general funk of the unwashed masses.

Ah well ... whatever ... I'm dropping an email to Osama to make sure this is on the next target list.

Who cares? It was built with private funds. I actually admire their comitment. I'd even enjoy it if I didn't try to reconcile science and religion all the time.
