okay, be it as it may, i AM a n00b, but heck, we all start someplace, right? I see many threads on the presidential election, abortion, and political beliefs. But really, there is a tonne of issues facing the world community today. please tell me what issue is the most important to you. it can't be the one you just love to complain and moan about, make it an actual concern, passion or interest.

European Union, the drop of the dollar, big U.S. debt, drop of the Canadian military, death of Yassar Arafat, increase of leftism (i.e. ANSWER backing communism/socialism/marxism). Drop in moral standards. People like Bottle (take it as a compliment) and people who protest the war and have peace marches, but tear down pro-war activists who are protesting the protest peacefully.

okay. i will answer first. my main topic of interest would have to be the state of education. i feel that American youths are becoming increasingly less focused on the benefits of learning, and more concerned with being like the people on television. maybe i am wrong. also, parents these days are less likely to focus on the kids that they have, instead choosing to focus on the stuff that they want. i feel this is detrimental to society as a whole, and is the main reason why i am putting off having a family.

The issue that actually is important to me is the environment. We are damaging this world, perhaps permanently :(

If all else fails, terraform and move to mars, rebuild human population, and come back and try to revive Earth.

all super important issues. i take a special interest in the war activism, having been a recipient of that myself.

Since I was an education major, and I worked with special needs children, my main concerns are the state of our education system, as well as equal rights/inclusion of children with special health care or mental needs. I think more money needs to be invested into education, so that it will actually work.

I am also concerned about the state of the social security system, because I hate that I have money taken out of my paychecks for it, but by the time I am able to collect, it will probably have fallen apart.

I am also extremely pro-choice. (Please do not attack me for this).

i wont attack for the prochoice, i am too, but, if you knew my views on special needs kids, oh jeez. :D social security is another, i am in the same boat, making 75K plus per year.

There are many issues about which I am concerned, but here are the top two:

1. GENERAL: Support among the American populace for US military personnel AND whatever their mission might be.

2. PERSONAL: The health of the Social Security program.

i guess.... but i live in southern california, and its very very expensive. i am paying lots and lots into social security and that is money that i want.

The current administration in the U.S., the economy, the war on Iraq, Iran, North Korea, the education system.......... the economy....... oh right, did I mention the economy?
