Well this is the first time we have had two elected people who havent served for one minute in office. Someone needs to invent a time machine, go to the hospital where he was born, kill him by sufficating him and say he was born with something from the woom stuck in his throat, or strangle him with the umbillicle cord, because that happens sometimes.

He is not promoting freedom, in fact he says he is against Socialism, yet in Spain they had a Conserv. govt. but there trains were blown up by terrorists angry about Spain supporting the Iraq war, this was three days before an election, Spain chose a Socialist govt. who stopped the fighting in Iraq.

You dont know anything about it. War is war, if it were a draft, I would disagree with you but not be angry and tell you to shut it. This is voluntary war, you never engage unless you expect the same. When you draw your weapon in an attempt to kill, you expect the same from your enemy. If you dont want to die, or dont want it to be left to a chance of this nature, you dont join up. This is what people never understand.

Unsuccesful, they have failed to bring "democracy" to either of those countries; they did bring death, destruction and more uncertainty about life to that people. On other level, the greatest machine of war of all times have failed to stop the "insurgency", and there is a climate of unrest there very much prone to civil war.

Wether Bush truly thinks himself as a cowboy crusader or he is just a puppet for other people's interests, in the end the only people who will die, are normal citizens of the world like you and me.

No Vietnam was different, in this war we can attack an area where the guerillas are being trained, while in Vietnam we couldnt attack Cambodia, plus Guerilla warfare is very hard to topple a regime with, you need a main army to come in and finish the job after the guerillas have weakened the country. Iraq has no main army. Plus Guerilla warfare in Iraq isnt as desperate as it was in Vietnam, in Vietnam the jungle made Guerilla warfare oppurtunities(sp?), much greater and much eaiser to accomplish while Iraq is basically the exact opposite, its a broad barren wasteland, except for the cities.

Hahahaaha. Actually GW did win, I don't like the man either, but I like Kerry even less. Also, George in office won both the electoral and populars, whether or not the election results would have been different if Kerry had waited until Ohio's votes came out it still wouldn't have let him win. Just face it, Democrats lost Republicans won. No biggy just wait until 2008 when hopefully we have better canidates.

Not conventially(sp? again), and it definatly was a "too little, too late" kind of thing.

If it was non-conventional bombing, then what was it? - you obviously don't mean nuclear.

Nixon did secret Christmas bombings, which was great, but we shoulda did it beforehand and did it so hard we blew the shit out of the enemy.

It went on for over a year.

I didnt mean it like that, I meant Conventionally by the millitary standards of the time, which was politics getting involved in the military.(I know the President is Political, but he is the Commander-In-Chief and doesnt normally use political bias in his military descions and when passing down military orders he ususally leaves it to the military to decide how to do it.)

I didnt live in the Time Period so Im a little sketchy on it, forgive me for any mistakes I make.

I forgive mistakes, but you have to realise that your parallel between Iraq and Vietnam has just broken down as a result.

Not all of it though. Only the Cambodia part.

I'll grant you that they have their similarities: even after the fact it remains unclear exactly what the US really hoped to achieve by either of them, and the possibility remains that the interventions in each were based on fundamentally flawed ideas held by those in power at the time.

Ok, I think it is so obvious that Bush stole the election, will anyone protest or riot? Hell no! Noone can know, there is no paper trail, thats why he needed to use computers think of it! He betrayed everyone by saying it will help people.

Alright, first the butterfly ballot is too damned complicated for you democrats, and now voting is too easy. Make up your mind.

The parallel I draw with Viet Nam and the current war in Iraq can arguably be contributed to World War II as well. Americans will not go to war unless they feel that they themselves are threatened. Iraq WMD's and 9/11 confusion = Gulf of Tonkin Resolution = Pearl Harbor, for the sake of this argument stating that FDR knew ahead of time.

As far as the goals, I think the goal in Iraq is pretty straightforward: Take out Saddam, establish democracy. However the means and the actual achievement of those goals is where the lack of clarity remains.

Fact: there is not one single shred of proper legal evidence that this man won either the 2000 or the 2004 US Presidential election:

And you're just figuring this out? :D

He's STILL not my president.

FACT: Election Exit Polls were NEVER WRONG until the eletions of 2000, the first use of electronic voting machines(coincidence?)
FACT: Diebold, the company prodcuing said voting machines, also makes atm's. when you use of of their atm's you get a reciept for EVERYTHING YOU DO, yet the voting machines they produce have no such reciept or anything close to it, so you have to trust the machines, which can easily be tampered with: http://www.chuckherrin.com/hackthevote.htm
