sorry, but i can't stand any more carson coverage....nothing against the guy at all, but i get tired of the constant coverage on every show and every celebrity professing that he was the most influential entertainer of his generation...give it a break! robert redford saw him on public access way back when and knew immediately that he would revolutionize commedy. suzzanne sommers says that carson gave her her first shot and wouldn't be where she is without him...BLAH!!! revere the guy when he is alive, not dead. ok, no more ranting from me...

Nahh!
The guy deserves it in a way. He affected many people. He was a decent guy as well. I remember him buying two old ladies appliances for their home when he heard they were collecting rain water to save money from the water bill to buy them.
Then again he was a shy man so would he have wanted the coverage?

Hell, I would've never known he died if it hadn't popped up on my home page news.

they actually did revere the guy a lot while he was alive. And the coverage is tiny compared to what Princess Diana got

The networks interrupted their regular programming. Did they do that for Carson as well???
Turn off your TV. The man brought much to the world. Give us a few moments to remember him, and say goodbye...please.

yeah, it's getting just a wee bit tiresome...
The day after he died, understandable.
This morning, when Blake (the guy on trial) gave his condolences on the morning news, I gave up.

I've always found the media annoyingly repetative. This event has just confirmed that.

If you were a comedian trying to make it in showbiz, Johnnys' was the show to be on. Just ask Seinfeld, Roseanne, Rich Little, Dangerfield, etc, what they thought of Johnny.
