No historically correct etymologys, such as "fuck stands for For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge," because those aren't so funny. Invent a fake etymology for a curse word.

I'll start this off- Wizard comes from the old wys-ars.

Bugger comes from the name of a man, Ger, who was believed to have commited beastiality with a bug.

You see?

So like?

Bitch is derived from bitty (the little british for activity of brestfeeding). A bitch originally meaning a spiteful mother who refuses to brestfeed her child once he/she surpases the age of 6.

Yeah, it is dervied from a Germanic language, though it's a really hard word to trace because of tabu on the word.

And no more. There are enough folk etymologies already, we don't need to encourage them.

Actually, the real origin of the word bugger is pretty funny. Basically there used to be this religious sect that thought that the physical world was evil, and that worshipping the cross was idol worship. In order not to bring anyone into this corrupt world they praciticed the only birth control method they knew, aka sodomy. They lived in Bulgaria. Thus comes the term bugger.

shit comes from the ancient greek shi- meaning to make oneself better. The term was formalized under the holy roman empire with the roman adaptation of -it making the word shiit. That meant 'in order to cleanse oneself'. Finally, the term was shortened to the modern English as 'shit' meaning 'to make oneself feel better through cleansing of the rectum'.

Actually, this is untrue. The word comes most likely from ficken, to strike, in Old German.
