This chart has been posted numerous times.

http://www.bushflash.com/jpg/or_01.jpg

It has been debunked more time than it has been posted.

http://www.snopes.com/politics/ballot/stateiq.asp

Please, feel free to do a little research before posting a stupid chart like the above.

Generally it's posted in response to a stupid assumption like "leftists are crazy".

EDIT: I think I should be clearer about what I mean by this. I think that both sides should stop complaining about each other all the time.

I don't have the impression it was supposed to be taken seriously... Nice site anyway, I particularly enjoyed "idiot son of an asshole" http://www.bushflash.com/idiot.html

Doesn't change the fact that it is a complete fraud.

It's a joke, homie. Satire.

It's only fraud if it's passed off as legit in order to gain something of value. So lets ease up on them legalese hammers, Tex.

But that doesn't change the fact that very few people carefully check their statistics before they post them. Christ, this is a discussion forum, not Oxford.

Of course it's fake. I mean, if the people of New Jersey are so smart, why the heck do they live in New Jersey!?

It's a joke, and an old one that's been recycled for every election in the past decade or so.

If you're stupid enough to post/believe a joke without checking it, that doesn't make it fraud, that makes you a moron.

Do you consider the increase in arguing position something of value? If so it does get passed off to prove something about one side of an argument

I guess depends on what you value

Moldova has a dozen guys there too, but calling this a coalition is pretty silly, its' "whoever the U.S. could threaten or bribe into sending a few of their sons", and many of those (including your Poland) are withdrawing as we speak.

You're going to tell me that the chart in question strengthens anyone's position? Christ, according to that chart, the average resident of Mississippi is legally required to ride the short bus to work.

The majority of left thinking idividuals on this site will attach to this chart and think is gospel. I just find it funny that people will site a bogus chart as proof of their intelligence.

I find it funny when people make blanket statements about what "the majority of" a group of people will do, and when they don't know the difference between "site" and "cite"

I haven't seen anybody do that. I've seen many post it as a joke, but not yet have I seen somebody use it to say "I'm smarter than you!"

Great, we can laugh together.

By the way, you put most in quotes. Quotes are used to quote someone. I never said most, your use of quotation marks was kinda dumb.

You're right, I paraphrased in quotes, which is acceptable behavior only for the Bush administration. I have edited the post accordingly.

If you speak some language where paraphrase=lie and where most =/= majority of, you could say that...at risk of looking like a snarky little bitch who doesn't know "cite" from "site".

Paraphrase does not go inside of quotes, quotes go inside of quotes, hence the term quote.

Use of the term "snarky little bitch" is poor form, poor debate, and really childish. :)

Well, it's fixed now. It now says "the majority of" in quotes.
Do you still have a problem with it, or must Dingoroonia change something else?

Calm down a bit, you two, as it wouldn't be good if this devolved into a flame-war.

Stop for a minute and think about if this is really worth the effort.

No, I just have a problem with some putting quotes around thier own writing, and saying I said it.

...and calling me a bitch.

So yeah, he could tone down the childishness.

If he wants to put quotes around something I said to try an embarass me, he should stick to my mispelling of cite, (I am utterly humilited by that  ) and shy away from name calling. I have two year old twins sitting next to me coloring spiderman pictures that know better thatn to call names. :)

It would be good in the future to not lie about what people say. And not to call them names when they catch you and call you out.
