You know I heartily agree! It is sooo lame! I hated it!
I mean, there was no point in the key-horrorbeing-thing (don't want to give spoilers or anything so I'm not saying directly what it was), and I knew what was gonna happen before it happened (I hate it when I can do that in a movie - it means it's not very original)... and Buffy was terrible.

The original Japanese film is okay, but yes, the American produced version does suck.

The grudge was about an order of magnitude less scary than the american version of The Ring, which also sucked when compared to Ringu.

Hmm, I kind of liked it. It was conventional but not as conventional as most movies that have come out lately. Truth is, it's been a very long while since I last saw a truly scary movie.
