Project Na'ale is a project which brings Jewish children from the ages of 16-18 to Israel from Eastern Europe. During this time they study for their Bagruts (GCSE & A Level equivalent) and hopefully leave the place in which they're staying with a full certificate. These are kids who don't even speak Hebrew at the time, yet they go on to university, and to become citizens of Israel. Our family recently took in a child from Na'ale. He came from some incredibly remote area of Northern Russia. His hebrew is remarkably good for a second year here, and every other weekend he comes to stay with us.
