Burning question

I once got an encyclopedia program on CD-ROM, back in about 96 or 97, and it had the awesomest (at the time) maze program there ever was. The idea was that there was a castle, in which everyone was locked in time. As you wandered about, people asked you historical questions, and eventually you unfroze them. All I remember was that it was really surrealist (one inhabitant of the castle had a really really long dress, that looked to be from the court of Louis XIV, and it was being held up by gnomes or goblins) and that it had an awesome, mediaeval soundtrack. Not real graphics intensive (only pictures that you could click on) but real fun nonetheless. Also real nostalgic for me, since it was my first computer program.

Could anyone tell me what this game was, and which encyclopedia it was bundled with? I remember the encyclopedia had lots of pictures, and was designed with a child or teenager in mind.

*touches question* Ouch!!!! Hot!!!!!

In answer to your "burning question" I have no idea, but encyclopidia type stuff always comes with dumb but cool games it seems.

Man, I remember that! It was brilliant.

I think the encyclopedia was Encarta.

EDIT: Curses, beaten to it!
