ok, since this is my first post, id like to start out by saying hello. now onto my question
I have resolved my outsanding issue for the day, and answered all my telegrams, and now there doesnt seem to be anything to do. do i just sit and wait for midnight before some things start to happen again? and what is this "into the breach" thing people keep talking about?

Not a lot happens in the game itself. Basically all you can do is answer your issues and chat to people, unless you want to join the UN and get into regional politics and stuff.
That's why a lot of people do roleplay based on their NS nations. Post a question about it in the "international incidents" or "nationstates" sections of this forum, people will be happy to answer any questions you have about that.
