Being that I live in the South, and the accents I hear are as follows:
fire is "far" as in -"Look at that house on far over thar."
tired is "tard" as in " I been werkin all day an' I shore am tard."
So I guess I shouldnt be too picky.

The strategic use of choral section in the orchestra. Nothing gets the hairs standing like that.
(example: Tetsuo, from the Akira soundtrack. Which actually makes me laugh, quite involuntarily, in a maniacal fashion.
Basically, track 1-8 of the Fellowship soundtrack.)

Well I would like a huge return on my investment, but I'm a little wary after the other times, I'm sure if you baffled me with long words, and kept up the sales pressure I could be swayed!

Oh, I'm also a sucker for telemarketers......I feel sorry for them and cant just cut them off and be mean. I sit there and listen to the whole script and then tell them no thank you, then I listen to their "been turned down but let me make you an offer you cant refuse" second attempt. It's quite tiresome. But I feel for them. :(

Quite True, you can usually tell the Indians though because they start jibbering... but then again I avoid talking to Telemarketers... I just put the phone down on them... they always interupt me in the middle of watching something. I refuse to be polite in retaliation... :)

Love em. I actually played in a rock cello group for a brief time.
Women cello players.
As a cellist, I totally agree with you. And female bass players (particullary the electric, voted the sexiest instrument of all time by a band I was in). Those are two instruments my GF, unfortuanatley, does not play (yet, working on it)

I'm a sucker for:
Boston/New York/Australian accents
This I entirely agree with... except for the Boston and New York part. Australian accents are the greatest. It's been too damn long since I heard one. Hell, I watched that Quiggly Down Under starring Magnum PI (Yes, I know his real name, but he's always Magnum to me) and you know what I realized? It's set in Australia, but there's pretty much no-one with an Australian accent in it. Thwarted again.
