Does anyone else have a problem that the opening song in an aid concert for an area where a huge natural disaster opens with A) The national anthem of another country, and B) A war hymn?

It just doesn't make sense to me. Something like the following "You'll never walk alone" would have been infinitely more appropriate as an opener don't you think?

Hahah. Good point.

YNWA would be a fine beginning music that would bring people to tears.

"Amazing Grace" is commonly played at funerals. Given the purpose of this concert, I think it's perfectly appropriate.

I'm not sure why you say "national anthem of another country" or "war hymn". Does a real-life country use "Amazing Grace" as their national anthem? Also, I wouldn't classify "Amazing Grace" as a war hymn.

How did anyone get amazing grace as a war hymn? Have you read the lyrics?
