It's made up of the Hebrew letters Yod, Het, Vav, Het, and often written as YHWH in English while being improperly pronounced "Jehovah". The actual pronunciation is somewhat of a mystery.

However, it is a combination word that comprises, approximately, 10-12 forms of the verb "to be" in ancient Hebrew. That's the nutshell.

If you want deeper and more complex, you'll have to wait until I'm not eating chicken nuggets.

That's the nutshell..So that's why the words of God to Moses are so often misread "I am who I am" instead of "I am (the one) who is called Yah" with Yah (in many different spellings e.g. Ea, Eyah, Jah, etc) being a deity known all throughout the ancient Middle East.
