I once spent a morning delivering anti BNP leaflets to one of the rougher of Sheffield's estates. There's a point to made that they covertly support terrorists (Stuart Copeland the nailbomber had been a member) and so should be banned under anti-terror laws, don't know if it's the best idea seeing that as you say it's the kind of thing the BNP would do.

On another note, has anyone ever had any proper rascist friends? I stopped hanging around with my former social group some years back because we were watching a TV and one of those Oxfam adverts came on, with a starving ethiopian child on screen. Actually, quite a few of my mates used to be racist until I argued them out of it. I still know some racist people - one of my oldest friends who went off to join the army is now a member of the BNP. Actually all of those countries peoples have interbred so much over the years that there is unlikely to be such a difference between English and any other parts of the UK genetically. All Britons are a different mix of Celtish, Saxon, Roman, Norman and Viking. That's why the idea of a pure anglo saxon or pure celtish person is ludicrous - they probably exist, but would be very very rare. It was part of the point I was making - the BNP are too dumb to realise this. It would be amusing if Nick Griffin found out he was mostly European genetically - he'd probably kill himself.

The BNP babble on a lot of shite, but they dont actually claim to be restricting the NHS to "anglo saxons only" they claim to respect the "cultural heritage" of the british isles. What they really mean by "cultural heritage" can in some part be inferred from the fact that their websites condemnations of terrorism in Ireland only condemns the IRA(no mention of Loyalist terrorism).

The BNP intself is a terrible political party that would not exist in a perfect world. However some of its supporters seriously believe that they have been abondoned by the government. You'll notice that all BNP strongholds are extremely poor small towns (usually in the north). They want the major parties to take notice of them. I feel that I would destroy my vote before ever voting for the BNP but I don't live in a poor area. I have been through a BNP controlled ward however and I have NEVER seen such terirble living standards. When these families see that immigrants have been given better standards, of course they will feel hard done by. I am afraid its natural.

The surest way of defeating the BNP is to eradicate poverty. People that are well educated and live comfortably have nothing to be resentful about when they here of immigrants getting benefits, which as it worth pointing out are even lower than our criminally low pensions in this country. The average immigrant is on something like £75 a week! The joke is they don't have jobs cos they're not allowed them, not cos they're lazy!
