I wonder what near-sighted pigeons think when humans throw food at them?

"Wow! look! It just appeared out of no-where!"

Is it conceivable that the gift of food is perceived as evidence of God, rather than, perhaps, as something natural that happened? Doubtful, I think.

Why is it that humans could see such as a "sign from God"? Does that make us smarter or dumber than near-sighted pigeons?

I wish the pigeons near my place were short-sighted...rat bastards steal all the cracked corn I put out for the sparrows.

Hmmmm. I've never had people throw food at me, so give me a few days and I'll get back with you on this. ;)

Sight is a very important sense for birds. Near-sighted ones probably don't live very long.

They will if God keeps throwing food at them! :)

Has anyone ever had the urge to kick one?

I mean... they're so plumpy looking and they walk directly in front of you...

I once lived in an apartment block where someone was caught luring pigeons to their patio door with grain, then whacking them with a little hammer. This fellow was eating them...
