Both of my parents are Vietnam-era veterans, though Dad actually spent most of his time guarding the Korean border. My brother is in Kuwait, awaiting deployment to Iraq. My sister was in the Army (they all were) but was stationed in Germany. My other brother and I both tried to get in the military, but neither could pass the physical. Him-sculiosis-sp? and hearing loss. Me- blind as a bat.

My Grandpa's cousin was (is, he's still alive.) a Lieutenant with the company who took Pegasus Bridge during the night before D-Day.

And my other Grandpa, who has sadly passed away, was a part of the Royal Honourable Artillery Company who fought in Africa and Italy.

I did the ODS/S thing as an infantryman. I think you should count the Cold War (I do) as there were many who did the nuclear weapons or "other" things during that one.

Also, my father was in the infantry in the Korean War.
