Do you believe that Judaism, Islam and Christianity are crashing?

I was looking on various religious encyclopedias on the net, and the Islamic and Roman Catholic sites both tried to deprove each others beliefs. I know that the article writers don't represent all views, but there seems to be a lot of friction stirring up at the moment. I just want to know your thoughts on this, and whether people are becoming religiously intollerant.

In a way, it's kind of silly, since they're all derived from the same place, and arguably, the same God. If you mean crashing as in will they die? No. Not any time soon. And Islam is the fastest growing religion at the moment, which is pretty scary for feminists like myself, not that Christianity or Judiasm are any better. Are they crashing as in fighting? They always have been, always will be. Hence the danger of religion. It's not even just then... Buddhists, Hindus, they all fight, and they all proclaim peace.

*shakes head* It makes you wonder if the human species is regressing back into cave man stage.

I voted that yes, they are clashing, but I don't think it's anything new or meaningful. Since the dawn of mankind, people have been beating the crap out of eachother over their reliefs. Even the religions you've mentioned have been at eachother's necks for hundreds of years. I don't think that anything interesting will happen thanks to the continuation of these clashes.

I'm not sure Christianity is monotheistic due to the divinity of the Trinity. I know Muslims view it as polytheistic as do other Christians who don't adhear to the Trinity such as Quakers. However, this is a deviation and for that I apologise :D

As I understand it, the trinity is one entity that has three faces.

I could be wrong; I'm sure this varies sect to sect.

I know they are clashing, because, as a Reform Jew, I am constantly arguing with Christains about gay marrige, abortion, stem cell research, hell, and the messiah. The fact is, I, and the Union for Reform Judaism disagree with them on all these issues. That and the whole "Jesus is the Son of God" thing. But I assume thats a given...

Don't be frightened. Both Judaism and Islam teach gender equality and it is said in Islam that the greatest measure of a man is how well he treats his daughters, wife, and mother.

Christianity is the weird misogynist offshoot. Jews and Muslims have been scratching their heads about that one for a long time.

So is Hinduism - many faces that is. Christianity is a very Ancient Greek style religion.
