Just say if you had the overwelming power to start your own band and have whoever you like in it *must have been in one band already* and you could include yourself what would it be? Since I am a major Guns N' Roses fan I have included a lot of their players.

Guitar: Gilby Clarke
Guitar: Robin Finck

I guess it's all good. I actually have two dream bands that include me! Here is my second one.
Axl Rose: Vocals (GNR)
Rhythm guitar: Dave Mustaine (Megadeth)
Lead Guitar: Robin Finck (NIN & GNR)
Lead Guitar: Buckethead
Drums: Brian ''Brain'' Mantia (Primus & GNR)
Keyboards & Piano: Chris Pittman (Tool & GNR)

And I would also like to have little Umpa Loompas running around the stage. Oh yeah!
Vocals- Mike Patton (Faith No More)
Guitar 1 - Tom Morello (RATM)
Guitar 2 - East Bay Ray (Dead Kennedys)
Bass - D'arcy Wretzky (Smashing Pumpkins)
Drums - John Bonham (Led Zeppelin)
I change it slightly every time this thread pops up. Maybe the last two don't mix so well stylistically though.

For me, it just HAS to be...
Vox/Guitar: Al Jourgensen (Ministry)
Programming: cEvin Key (Skinny Puppy)
Bass: Pete Steele (Type O Negative.. just because he looks bloody great live)
Drums can be done by a machine, if not, Dave Grohl or Bill Rieflin would do fine.
If I could involve Sascha from KMFDM, Krztoff of Bile or Ohgr (also Skinny Puppy) somehow, so much the better, but... naw. They should be great enough as it is. ;)

Guitar 1 - Tom Morello (RATM)
Guitar 2 - East Bay Ray (Dead Kennedys)
Bass - D'arcy Wretzky (Smashing Pumpkins)
Drums - John Bonham (Led Zeppelin)
I change it slightly every time this thread pops up. Maybe the last two don't mix so well stylistically though.
Ooh yay!
D'arcy is cool. I liked her style a lot. Although you do have a point about the stylistic mix...
I would love to hear what these four people can do together...it will be beautiful interesting to say the least
Vocals/Piano: Gackt (j-pop star, ex-Malice Mizer)
Guitar: Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave)
Bass: Chris Wolstenholme (Muse)
Drums: Brian Viglione (The Dresden Dolls)
And I'm proud to say I have met the last two and seen the last three live! All deserving to be considered greats in their instruments.

I'd clone Slash so I could have two of him because we all know the only guitarist who can match Slash is Slash himself. I'd then compliment him with Derek Smalls on bass, Mozart on orchestras, Dave Grohl on drums and Andy Falkous on vocals. Townes van Zandt would write all the songs.
And, yea, they would teach the world the true meaning of rock.

Vocals: Robert Plant (led zep)
Back up singers:Neil Young (I think he and Plant would work well together) (neil young), and OZZY!!! OMFG! (he's from Black Sabbath)
Guitar: Kirk Hammett (metallica)
Drums: John Bonham(Led Zep)
Keyboard: You know... the guy from Rammstein (rammstein)
Bass: Cliff Burton (Metallica)
Then, have Kurt Cobain and Billy Corgan do the lyrics and you're all set.
I don't know how well metalheads like cliff burton and kirk hammet would work with the others, but I think Plant, ozzy, and neil young could work 'cause they all have wailing voices. Their voices are all fairly similar.
The keyboardist I threw in because I liked his work in Du Hasst. Please comment on my band.

[Vocals] Freddy Mercury
[Vocals] David Bowie
[Guitar] Elvis Costello
[Bass] Les Claypool
[Drums] hmm...probably myself when I decide to take it up.
Total weird mixture of musical styles.

Okay, the next person to list Eric Clapton gets some serious demerit points for lack of creativity.
Now, my band:
Singer: Kim Deal. I was originally going to say PJ Harvey, since I haven't always been completely satisfied with her arrangements, but upon reflection I realized that she's better off solo. Kim's got a smoking voice that we really don't hear enough of, plus she'd keep things in a poppier vein.
Guitarist: Lee Ranaldo. Thurston Moore's my favourite guitarist (just see my name) but I think Lee would work better outside of Sonic Youth. Plus, like Kim Deal, he doesn't really have enough output.
Guitarist: Jonny Greenwood. I'm inclined to believe he'd be a great complimentary addition to any group.
Bassist: Peter Hooke. I think it requires no justification.
Drums: John Fishman. He looks great in a dress. Or maybe Gary Young, to keep things nice and sloppy.
Producer: Brian Eno. I know, he's an odd choice for this assortment, but can the man do any wrong?
GUINESS AND TULLAMORE

Bass: LEMMY
Vocals:Rob Halford, Lemmy, Johnny Cash(if he was alive)

Vocals: Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin)
Guitar: Slash (Velvet Revolver)
Guitar: Malcolm Young (AC/DC)
Bass: Bass Wolf (Guitar Wolf)
Drums: Steve Alder (Guns and Roses)
Keys: Bobby Lee Fett (The Hellacopters)
I'm sure having more than two guitarists is generally a bad idea.

Vocals: Anyone heard Ayreon's 'Temple of the Cat'? The girl who sings on that has a fantastic voice, she sounds really sexy (I checked on the website and I think its someone called Jaqueline Govaert - can anyone with the album confirm this?)
I'd have Sharon den Adel (Within Temptation) on vocals too.
Guitars: Brian May (Queen) and Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon)
Keyboards: Matt Bellamy aka God (Muse)
Bass: Ahh, I'd have to choose me
Drums:Dave Grohl (in his Nirvana days)
I am to lazy to type it all up again so look here (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=361224) (my band thread).

Sorry, but to me, pre-Black album Metallica was the perfect band.
They would be if I could tell any real difference between their songs. But better than others like Slipknot. I may get flamed for this but Slipknot is most possibly the shittest band on Earth today
You're right. And whats with the masks? All their songs sound the same and they can't manage to go through a five-minute video without some slow-motion, animals or crappy music. I also hate punk rock, emo and most grunge. but thats me!
