I'm an archocommunist so I can put both patchs you get at Hot Topic (Che and Anarchy) on my backpack and make everyone think of both ideals as dumb teenage angst level rebeelion that really just supports the illuminati.

I voted Maoist... I have red "the communist manifesto", Mao's "Little Red Book", and several other communist books, and I would say that Mao's ideas were (are) okay, but the way he actually acted was no good. Also, I think that Communism would work better with a elected head of state, who would be replaced or re-elected every seven years. That way, he hopefully wouldn't turn into a dictator. Just a thought, though...

No you are not. Communism works under the idea that all humans are equel and therefore deserve equel rewards, whereas as socailism has no such idea. Socailism, which I support, is a system consious of the fact that this isn't true, designed to ensure that the superior cannot oppress the inferior.

What?

Socialism is a system where the government can control buisness, and is considered a precurser to communism.

At least, I think so. whatever. I support what I just said.

Yeah, Stalinism wasn't exactly a coherent theory as much as it was really an excuse for the parasitic burecratic caste to justify their existence.

Stalin was all over the map, anyway first being very rightwing and supporting giving the peasents land to work under long term leases, then favoring "liquidating" the rich peasants and forcing them to go on collective farms. He first called social democratic and liberal governmentsts "social fascists" like Roosevelt, and then abrubtly changed course saying that communist parties should support these peace loving governments.

Socialism is a broad school of thought that emcompasses Communism, Anarchism, 'socialism' (as it is understood in Britain), and possibly even Technocracy. Amoung others.

I'm only a theoretical communist (I know...I'm a wuss). Commusnism works in theory, but as corrupt as humans can be, I don't think it could ever work much better than it has in the past.

No, it does NOT work in theory. Even in theory communism = genocide.

I just wonder - are there any self-described Hitlerites here? And could you please explain in more detail just what kind of Stalinist are you? I mean, do you want to murder millions totally at random or based on some criteria or both (like Stalin did)? Inquiring minds want to know.

Well, it works fine until somebody decides they want to be different. Then you have to subdue them somehow, maybe not fatally, but somehow.

People have very little tolerance.

no. if somebody wants to be king, you tell them "fine, get the hell out". society still classless, and there is some lone guy out there pretending to be king.

yeah, but i want to know who they actually are - are they really stalinists or just saying it to get a rise out of people such as myself? none of them has much of a posting history. mainly i'm just confused by the existence of people who would claim stalinism to be a good thing.

A good synonym would be "proletarian dictatorship". During this period supporters of the old regime are eliminated so nothing stands in the way fo the transition. Planned economy, increasingly mechanising processes in order to eliminate human toil to prepare for the transition to communism.

Anarcho-communist would be the ideal system, and as that is the end-goal (of *most* of these options), I guess it invalidates all other options.

I haven't yet decided on the ideal way to get there though :)
