Everything I read points to the US helping Israeli undertake an attack a la the 1981 Osirak bombing. The US has sold bunker busting bombs of the sort that would be needed, Israel has a need to prevent Iran from obtaining a counter-deterant, the US is stretched too far to take on Iran now, and Israel has the necessary experience for this sort of thing.
(Nowhere have I said it would be easy, as clean as 1981, or even smart. Simply that that's what the indications are pointing to. Either the rumors/data I'm hearing or this NYDN report could be disinformation - take your pick. I know which one I'm picking... ;))
