i'd say a big howdy and welcome my new american bosses

I would take a long look at my ideals, their ideals and then decide what to do, you need to be more specific of their ideals

I'd struggle to keep my identity. I wouldn't choose one over the other but what I choose from each. If done carefully, the blending of cultures can be a positive thing.

At first I thought you were talking about just a lot of people moving in. But if it were a military invasion, I'd do whatever it took to stop them from scratching my car, even if it meant killing...

Did you know car insurance doesn't cover things like civil war, terrorist attacks or foreign nations bombing it?

As it stands, my country technically already has a bunch of people in power trying to force their morals and ideals onto me. Mostly with taxes. I would do in your scenario what I do now; ignore them and plan my move to Canada.

Since i live not 50 miles (or so) from one of the biggest nuclear bases in the western world and less than 10 from soem very very ship yards i would most likely be a crsipy critter if anyone was to invade the nation i call home.

I'd requisition the disused nuclear bunker under my home town. From there, I'd spread propaganda discreetly about a new underground network of no-commitment terrorists i.e. you can be a terrorist, but you only have to do small things if you want e.g. data collection and typing. Of course, some would be a little more hardcore and pissed about the regime change, and would help me on dangerous missions with the aim to take down the evil government from within. For example:

Removal of their office workers and replace with my sleeper cells
Aid one or more members in moving through the ranks of the enemy, so as to take them down from within
Obtaining nuclear hand-grenades (thankyou US crackpots)
Poisoning the heirarchy of the enemy system
Computer hacking (I'm a liberal, hackers will simply swarm to me)
Finally, once my puppet is in place - attack and get the puppet to capitulate

As | choose to live in a region that is rather to the centre, politically, it would be difficult for it to be invaded by some group with polaraly opposite opinions.
However, if an extremist group took over, I think I would follow the Mahatma Gandhi methodology of passive resistance. i.e do what I am told to, but only that. Use no initiative, or ideas of my own. Simply be a dead weight. If a large proportion of the population followed this line, then the country would be ungovernable.

I'd get the fuck out of there until the invaders left. Then while living elsewhere, I'd write/publish inflammatory materials on the invaders from the safety of another country.

Well, I'd Kill em all, unless they were just americans trying to free me from tyranny. And give me the right to vote, and build me schools, and take revenge on the bastard hussein brothers who took pleaseure in raping my daughters while and torturing my olympic athlete soccer playing son for losing a game. And then forcing me to dig a giant hole in my back yard to hide dead bodies in so that the UN wont know about the murders. Then id probably get off my ass and help them by joining the police, or the election committe, or the new Iraq army.

I'd do the same thing I'm currently doing: Keep my head down, try not to be noticed, and help preserve the freedoms I hold dear the best way I can, by not being noticed and siphoning some resources and/or information to the millitary part of the resistance.

distribute books on how to make infernal devices. hack their stuff. loot. bomb brothels, as invaders always go to brothels. sure i'd kill a lot of innocent trafficked women in the process, but i'd also kill the gangsters and their buddies the invaders. i'd bomb establishments that serve strong alcholic beverages, not because i dislike strong alcholic beverages, in fact i'm rather fond of strong alcholic beverages, but because once again, the invaders need a lot of alchol to keep themselves in the correct delusional frame of mind. i'd create total j***m* chaos. i'd encourage people with nasty diseases to go ahead and sleep with the invaders.i'd open up my own brothels and strip clubs to encourage this and they'd be safe, never bombed.i'd use the money to buy stuff from dodgy guys in suits. in short all the s*** that is happening in the big sandy country, i'd do to anyone stupid enough to invade my country. it may be a gulag but i love my gulag. i will defend my gulag.

I'd be interested in self-preservation first. After all, you can't fight them when your dead. I'd leave the country and try to get outside help. I'd make sure everyone was aware of any crimes they committed and write nasty things that would hurt their feelings. If they weren't trying to suppress dissenters with violence I'd stay home and be as big a pain in the ass as possible.

i'd just carry life on as normal as i can get
