does everybody actually play this game properly?
i know i haven't done anything about an issue in months and i really only go to the general forum and talk about non-game related things.
but do most of you like actually participate in formign regions and care about the issues and everything?
i haven't even left the east pacific... (i think that's where i am at any rate)

The only real "proper" way to play this game is to answer the issues. Every thing else is entirely made up by players to add more life to the game.
i think i play the game properly. I try to pick the issues that are more left wings/commie/liber. We don't talk about anything in my reigion but thats b/c there dumb thats y i'm looking for a new place.

I check my issues once a week, that's about it. I run one country seriously, the other I just use as entertainment.

i've gotten 2 un resolutions passed and fought off a repeal attempt of one of them - which amounted to slightly more work than passing it in the first place. so i guess you could say i play a bit.

I answer two issues a day and wish I could do more, but I've stayed out of the UN and am left alone in the Pacific.:)

Me? I'm in LETI and I just concluded a massive war (with a medium level nuclear exchange!)

You mean a UN resolution actually failed? I've never seen such a thing.

You have issues?
I have issues too.
What kind of issues do you have?
I do the issues.
And I'm also 2nd in command of Earth II over at International Incidents. I don't RP though, at least not often.

I have issues with my population, they always seem to want more than I can give them.

it happens from time to time. "repeal the 40 hour workweek" failed last month. "ban nuclear weapons" failed in november.
I ignore all the issues in my main nation. I figure if I poke it anymore my economy will do something drastic and random - like warping time and space - in order to become even worse than 'imploded'.
I still occasionally answer issues in one of my puppets though... I'm aiming for a decent ecomony to offset the suckiness of my main nation's.

I craft my issues sometimes still; I'll wait for those that will reduce the tax burden on my citizens (I swear, everyone in my nation is screwin' their secrataries ;) ). Occasionally I'll spot an issue that only raises one section of my naiton's profile with few ill effects, so I pick that one. My nation is actually very strong in most catagories now.
Its all for the asthetic value actually, I don't DO anything with my nation, I haven't left the East pacific because I don't care about "regions"
I'm just here for the General forum.
So no, I don't actually play the game.

Yes. I have been working on getting this particular puppet nation to the highest rankings in each of the categories (civil rights, economy, political freedoms) by working the issues. I actively debate on and discuss UN actions, as well as propose legislation. I am a member of several different regions and organizations that have their own forums. I do a fair amount of RPing, though most of it is on regional and organizational offsite forums. I have a region of my own, though I don't really do anything with it.

I try to juggle taxes and freedoms and answer 95% of the issues. But some are so stupid i just dismiss them. This (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=display_nation/nation=jester_iii) is my nation right now.

I take the game quite seriously. I am in charge of internal security of my home region and one of the ruling cabinet.
