I was reading the smoking thread, and about how some kids don't believe the videos they're being shown in health.
And it made me think back to an episode of Crossfire with Falwell a couple months back. And that creepy bald guy said (with no denial from Falwell's side) that the religious right are putting out information that you can get pregnant from masturbation? I mean, I guess it's possible if you really try, but still.
And these aren't the only lies they put out there. I was reading something off of Alternet a couple months back, too, about abortion clinics forcing women to sign contracts that told them (although medically untrue), that abortions can cause breast cancer.
And these are the people that are running my country. :(

Personally, I'm opposed to abortion except in cases where the mothers life is in danger.
That said, deliberately distributing false information about abortion is unethical.
